So what are my options? What do I need to purchase?

Option 1: a live lesson subscription when filming with a SMARTPHONE / TABLET

In this case, you want to film yourself with a smartphone/tablet placed on the PIXEM 2 robot. The video is sent live to the coach through the PIXEM CAMERA app thanks to the live lesson subscription. The smartphone/tablet filming needs 4G, 5G or WiFi connection to the Internet.

Your coach would only need a computer/tablet/phone to receive the call after creating their free tv.movense.com account 😊

You need : PIXEM 2 + tripod + a smartphone/tablet placed on the PIXEM 2 to film + a LIVE LESSON subscription + another smartphone to talk to the coach or a CEECOACH DUO and our connection cable or Airpods or similar with sufficient range.

This video will show you how it works: Live lesson tutorial

Option 2: the live lesson pack to film with a CAMERA

In this case, you want to film yourself with a CAMERA placed on the PIXEM 2 robot (both provided in the live lesson pack). The Magewell device (also provided) allows you to receive the video from the camera to your computer in real time. The video is sent from your computer to the coach through Skype, Facetime, who can watch you live. The computer has to be connected to the Internet.

There are 2 options to talk to your coach during the lesson: a standard phone call (the rider must have a phone in his pocket and a headset), or with a CEECOACH device and our special connection cable that transmit sound between the rider and the computer.

You need : The live lesson pack + a computer with an Internet connection placed near to the camera and the robot.

This option does not require a "live lesson subscription" as the video is sent via Skype or Facetime which are free.

Talking to your coach and voices recording for debriefing

There are 2 options for the voice feedback: a standard phone call (the rider must have a phone in his pocket and a headset), or with a CeeCoach Duo Kit and our special connection cable between the CeeCoach and the phone.

The CeeCoach allows to have a voice feedback when doing live lessons through the internet.

One is with the rider, and the other one is plugged to the computer/phone/tablet. It must be connected to the computer/phone/tablet with the connection cable and with recent iPhones it is necessary to have this kind of "Jack 3.5 - lightning adaptor" as well.

With PIXEM 2 and smartphones, you can also use Airpods or similar headsets with sufficient range.

For voice recording purpose, note that when using an Android device to film, no voices will be recorded whereas when using an iOs device, the coach voice will be recorded.

What are the differences? Which one should I get?

The cost of purchase. It is less expensive to film with a smartphone and the live lesson subscription as you do not need to purchase the complete live lesson pack with a camera, the magewell device, etc.

The subscription cost (no subscription cost with the live lesson pack)

The image quality which is often better with the camera provided in the live lesson pack than with a smartphone

The simplicity/complexity. It is usually easier to film with a smartphone and the live lesson subscription as you do not need have a computer near to the PIXEM robot to connect the camera to the computer.

 Specifications

To check if your internet speed is OK for video lesson, you can test the internet speed in the equestrian arena: just make a Skype or FaceTime video call with your coach with the connection you intend to use, and the coach will tell you if the video is steady or not. There are also figures, but the test is much better than figures:

upload and download speed of about 0.5MBPS: Low Quality

upload and download speed of about 1MBPS: Medium Quality
